Some English learners have trouble with vowels. It’s usually because English vowels can sound very different than the vowels in other languages, and also because English speakers prounounce their 5 vowels many different ways. Many students know that pronunciation is different in each English-speaking country, and sometimes the vowel sounds change even within a country!
Humans always make things more complicated than they need to be. The good news is that two of my favorite teachers have been working on a set of videos about vowels. They’re both from the United States so they focus on a US style of pronunciation.
Watch the videos starting tomorrow.
