What’s your job? Where do you work? What kind of work do you do? Where is your job?
The words “work” and “job” are closely related. Not for cats, but that’s another issue.
Your “work”, is the type of thing you do during the day (or in some cases, at night). It can also mean the company or place you work in or for. Examples: “I work as a lawyer for a cat food company”. “I work in downtown Seattle”. “I work for General Motors”.
Thing of your job as something much more specific. “I’m a teacher. My job is to teach English”. You’ll often hear people say “there’s a job available at Company X”. Or “there are lots of teaching jobs in Spain”.
I work at home.
